This is an educational tool for doctors to use for their asthma patients to help explain what is going on in their lungs that cause their asthma symptoms, and reinforce the need for proper treatment. This educational tool is therefore suitable for use in local markets as a medically relevant indicator.

The model shows a healthy airway next to a narrowed airway with asthma.

Four aspects are illustrated:

• Inflammation, involving swelling of the airway linings
• Constriction of the smooth muscle
• Mucus formation
• Long-term damage to the airways, involving loss of the surface epithelium 

The model is delivered with a stand containing the two airway tubes and packed in a box.

The stand is engraved with the GlaxoSmithKline logo.

There is the possibility to insert Information Leaflet pad, paper size 150 x 90 mm. It can be printed for local markets to match the marketing strategy. This leaflet is not included in the delivery.

The model has been approved by the European Respiratory Centre of Excellence for offering to the European GSK local markets.

Markets are reminded that all materials from the Centre of Excellence must be subjected to local Medical and Regulatory review and approval prior to external distribution.

Price:

€ 7,10 per  model with a minimum of 1.000 units.

For lower quantities a handling fee of € 100,- will be charged.
